Beyond the Classroom

Go beyond the classroom with unique activities that change every year, such as last edition’s visit to the NEXT experiment at the Canfranc Underground Laboratory, one of the most advanced particle physics facilities in the world.

The trip combined science, technology, and leadership. It was a direct experience of deep tech innovation and a chance to reflect on how bold projects can inspire new ways of leading, creating impact, and rethinking our understanding of the universe.

Eligible Candidates

We highly encourage Dual Degree graduate and undergraduate students from the Business School and the School of Science and Technology to apply!

Eligible applicants also include:

  • IE Business School students with a strong academic background in Science & Technology.

  • IE School of Science and Technology students with a strong academic background in Business.
    (Backgrounds from non-dual degrees may come from another recognized university).

All applications will be reviewed by Admissions and the Academic Direction. The final decision is subject to the Executive Committee approval.

  • In this module, you will learn how to think exponentially, shifting from linear to transformative approaches that unlock outsized impact.

    You will explore your unique strengths, define bold 10X goals, and reflect on your personal aspirations through guided journaling.

    You will learn directly from visionary entrepreneurs, unicorn founders, and corporate innovation leaders who share real-world lessons in resilience, audacity, and driving change.

    By the end of the module, you will not only understand the mindset behind exponential growth but also learn how to apply it.

  • In this module, you will learn how disruptive technologies drive groundbreaking transformation in business and society, and how to envision and design bold applications that can redefine entire industries.

    You will learn to think beyond incremental innovation, applying deep tech to design disruptive and impactful solutions.

  • In this module, you will learn how to transform bold ideas into impactful ventures. You will explore design-thinking and ideation tools to create breakthrough solutions, then apply practical frameworks such as Lean Startup, Exponential Canvas, and Agile to test, validate, and launch initiatives.

    Finally, you will learn how exponential organizations operate, gaining tools like the 4Ds, 6Ds, and OKRs to design and scale transformative impact in startups or established corporations.

  • In this module, you will learn how to lead with vision, navigate career growth, and communicate ideas that inspire action. You will explore leadership strategies for thriving in uncertainty, reflect on your personal style and ambitions, and design actionable steps for your professional journey. You will also learn the art of storytelling—how to pitch, influence, and mobilize support for transformative ideas.
